Dr. Maitland graduated Magna Cum Laude from Cook College, Rutgers University. She then earned her osteopathy medical degree in 2006 from the University of Medicine and Dentistry – School of Osteopathic Medicine, now Rowan University – School of Osteopathic Medicine, where she was awarded the Stanley S Bergen MD Medal of excellence. She completed her Emergency Medicine residency at UMDNJ – SOM in 2010. She then completed her Pediatric Emergency Medicine fellowship at University of Connecticut/Connecticut Children’s Medical Center in 2012. Dr. Maitland is a board certified by the American Osteopathic Board of Emergency Medicine and is a Fellow of the American College of Osteopathic Emergency Physicians. Currently, Dr. Maitland is a clinical assistant professor at Rowan University – School of Osteopathic medicine. She has had several publications and invited lectureships. She has been with Pegasus Emergency Group since 2019 and works at Hunterdon Urgent Care. Her interests outside of medicine include theatre, soccer and dance.
