Kathryn L. Grimes, MD studied English, Spanish and Biology at Rutgers College, NJ. She went on to receive her medical degree from Drexel University College of Medicine, Philadelphia, PA. She completed her residency in Emergency Medicine at Cooper University Hospital in Camden, NJ where she served as Chief Resident.
Dr. Grimes’s fluency in Spanish has allowed her the opportunity to help develop culturally sensitive Spanish-language educational brochures on infant and child nutrition for Latino families at the Grow Clinic of St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children. This involvement in the Grow Clinic lead Dr. Grimes to do research for a national clinical project examining the factors that impact a child’s access to proper nutrition.
As international healthcare volunteer Dr. Grimes has taught classes on basic life support, advanced resuscitation and the fundamentals of shock to the clinical staff at Cape Coast Regional Hospital, Ghana.
