Dr. Tagore is a native Texan board certified in Emergency Medicine with a subspecialty in EMS & Disaster Medicine. Prior to entering medical school, he completed a MSHA and a MBA with a focus in management and finance respectively. Dr Tagore has found a passion in educating and training physicians. Since graduating from fellowship in 2016, he has been awarded Teaching Attending of the Year twice in 2017 and 2019. He currently trains physicians pursuing a specialty in Emergency Medicine and EMS & Disaster Medicine. He is currently the Associate Program Director for the EMS & Disaster Medicine Fellowship and Core Teaching Faculty for the Emergency Medicine Residency at Newark Beth Israel Rutgers Health. He is also a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Emergency Medicine at Rutgers NJ Medical School.
Currently Dr Tagore is involved in medical mission work abroad and focuses in establishing EMS Systems in developing and 3rd world countries. He also is heavily involved in teaching physicians in developing and 3rd world counties point of care ultrasound (POCUS) to diagnose and treat patients who may not have the latest imaging technology readily available to them. In New Jersey Dr Tagore also works as Associate Medical Director for RWJBH Mobile Health EMS. Other affiliations include his role as a Flight Physician for multiple air ambulance agencies. Dr Tagore is also active in event medicine, working concerts, marathons, special events, etc. One of Dr Tagore’s professional interest is Tactical Medicine. He is currently a Tactical Physician for the NJ State Police TEAMS Unit (SWAT Team) and several other Federal and local SWAT/SRT Units. He has specialized tactical training in K-9 Casualty Care for working service dogs in the SWAT Team as well. Dr Tagore, additionally, is an EMS physician with the MD1 Program and responds when requested for entrapments and MCIs throughout the state of New Jersey. He has the ability, when requested, to bring the emergency room to the scene with his physician response vehicle. Dr. Tagore joined Pegasus Emergency Group in 2020. In his spare time he enjoys spending time and traveling with his loving family.
